Peterborough County Expands “The Local Advantage” Program to Cavan Monaghan Township

And we’re stepping up to provide real, accessible resources that local businesses need to thrive.

From funding opportunities to one-on-one business consultations, The Local Advantage series brings experts right to the heart of the community. In this session, businesses will connect with Peterborough County’s Economic Development and Tourism teams, Cavan Monaghan’s Economic Development team, and Community Futures Peterborough. Together, we’ll help business owners of all sizes – from new startups to established enterprises – access the insights, support, and partnerships that can help fuel their next phase of growth.

February 12th’s open-house session offers a unique opportunity to meet with specialists, explore the full range of business resources, and discuss specific goals with experts who understand the local landscape. There’s no need to register; just drop in and take advantage of everything we have to offer.

Success from our first session has already shown the power of this initiative, with businesses making valuable connections, brainstorming ideas for future plans, and networking. As we continue to roll out these sessions across Peterborough County, we’re ensuring that no matter where you are, you’ll have access to the tools and connections needed to succeed.

As part of Peterborough County’s broader “hub and spoke” model, the Cavan Monaghan sessions are a vital spoke in the wheel, complementing the County’s central hub. This interconnected approach ensures that businesses in all parts of the County receive the same high-quality support, regardless of location.

The series in Cavan Monaghan township will continue every second Wednesday of the month at the Cavan Monaghan Community Centre Meeting Room, 986 County Road 10, Millbrook. No registration is required, and businesses are encouraged to drop in and explore the valuable resources available to help them grow.
