Municipal notices during Canada Post labour disruption

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) union began a strike November 15th, 2024.  During this strike period, please review the following notices to help maintain continuity of service:

Water and Sewer, Property Tax and other Bills and Payments

Payments must be received on or before a due date to avoid penalty and/or interest charges. Failure to receive a bill does not remove responsibility for payment nor will late payment charges be removed from an account.

To inquire about your balance owing;

  • please contact Staff at 705-932-2929 Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm or email services@cavanmonaghan.net.

The Township of Cavan Monaghan has a variety of payment options available to pay property tax, water and wastewater or any other municipal bills.

  • At your local bank branch 
  • Through your Mortgage Company (Property Taxes only) 
  • Digital Banking (Mobile/On-line/Telephone) - under Bill payments with your Canadian Financial Institution.  
  • Enroll in one of our pre-authorized plans; Installment Tax Due Dates, Bi-monthly water and sewer dates.
