Corporate Strategic Plan Project
The Township of Cavan Monaghan has engaged Town Hall Consulting to develop a Corporate Strategic Plan that will enable the Township to strategically manage the direction of this term of Council. The plan will build upon the work already completed specifically the Corporate Strategic Plan 2012 and the Facilitation and Strategic Priority Workshop 2019.
The development of the Corporate Strategic Plan will help define long-term goals and prioritize resources effectively. Engaging residents, stakeholders, staff and Council will be a critical component to this process.

The project has been divided into seven (7) phases:
- Phase 1: Project Initiation and Current State Assessment - July
- Kick off meeting with internal Project Team to review the scope of the project and set some goals for delivery.
- Preliminary research and Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT) analysis.
- Phase 2: Internal Engagement - August 2024
- Interviews with Staff and Council.
- Phase 3: Planning and Strategy Development - September 2024
- Council workshops to establish Mission, Vision, Values, SWOT and Strategic Priorities.
- Workshop 1: September 9, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Workshop 2: September 16, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Council workshops to establish Mission, Vision, Values, SWOT and Strategic Priorities.
- Phase 4 : External Community Engagement - October 2024
- Focus groups, online community engagement, open house.
- Phase 5: Refinement and Finalization of Recommendations - November 2024
- Build and present full Strategic Plan to Council.
- Phase 6: Implementation - December 2024
- Identify steps, responsibilities, timelines and budget.
- Phase 7: Health Check - June 2025
- Conduct a "Health Check" Workshop and report on any needed adjustments to the Plan.
