Earth Day Event
The Township of Cavan Monaghan will be hosting their first event celebrating Earth Day on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A free event, Earth Day will take place in the Community Hall at the Cavan Monaghan Community Centre.
Led by the Township’s Sustainability Advisory Committee, the event has an exciting line-up of vendors who can provide information and resources on a wide range of climate friendly actions to enable residents and businesses to make informed environmentally friendly choices.
High quality plastic rain barrels will be available to purchase for only $30 (while supplies last).
In late fall, the Township partnered with Home Hardware to offer a weatherstripping kit to assist residents in making their homes more energy efficient. Kits are available to purchase for $10 at the Township office (while supplies last).
