The Township of Cavan Monaghan offers a variety of convenient payment methods for property taxes, water and wastewater bills, community centre programs, facility rentals, building permits, burn permits, and other municipal invoices.

Building Permit Payments (Cloudpermit)
Building permit applications and payments can be completed online through Cloudpermit, the Township’s secure digital permitting system. This platform allows you to apply for permits, upload documents, track application status, and make payments in one place.
Residents can obtain and manage burn permits online through the Township’s Burn Permit system. This platform allows you to apply for a permit, view current burning conditions, and receive important safety updates.
Property Taxes, Water & Wastewater, and General Payments
Online or Telephone Banking
You can pay your bills securely through your Canadian financial institution using online, mobile apps, or telephone banking. These services are typically included with your banking plan, making this a convenient and cost-effective option.
Setting Up a Payee (First-Time Only)
- Log in to your banking platform
- Select “Add a Payee”
- Search for “Cavan”
- Select the appropriate option below:
- Property Taxes
- Payee: Cavan Monaghan (TWP) TAXES
- Account Number: Your 19-digit roll number
- Found on your tax bill
- Begins with 1509 and ends with 0000
- Water and Wastewater
- Payee: Cavan Monaghan (TWP) UTILITIES
- Account Number: Your 8-digit account number (no decimals)
- Example: 123456.01 → 12345601
- General / Other Payments
- Payee: Cavan Monaghan (TWP) GENERAL
- Account Number: Your account number as shown on your invoice

After-Hours Drop Box
A secure drop box is available at the Municipal Office entrance for cheque payments only.
Vendors are encouraged to enroll in Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) for faster and more efficient payment processing.
To enroll, submit the EFT Authorization Form to: payables@cavanmonaghan.net
Vendors requesting manual cheque payments may pick them up at the Municipal Office during regular business hours.
