Curbside Organics Pick Up

Please be advised: All curbside kitchen organics waste collection has been delayed until Saturday September 26th due to mechanical issues.

Please have your kitchen organics waste out to the curb by 7:00 a.m. for collection. Recycling and curbside garbage are not affected by this issue.  We apologize for any inconvenience.

 

Fall Leaf & Yard Curbside Pick-up

The following is a list of 2026 Fall Leaf and Brush Curbside Collection for Cavan, Millbrook and North Monaghan residents:  

Week of October 12 to 16, 2026

Week of October 26 to 30, 2026

Week of November 9 to 13, 2026

Week of November 23 to 27, 2026

Please Note:  A single collection will occur during each week listed above. Collection may occur on any day of the week!!

Please have brush bundled in 3-foot lengths, with each bundle weighing no more than 30 pounds, and leaves in paper leaf bags. Please have all material to the curb on Monday at 7:00 a.m. 

No Plastic Bags 

Yard waste in reusable bins will be accepted along with brown paper bags as long as there is no mixed garbage with it.

2026/27 PA Day Camps

Registration is open!

The Township of Cavan Monaghan is holding PA Day Camps for kids ages 4-9yrs at the
Cavan Monaghan Community Centre on the following dates: 

  • October 26th, 2026
  • February 1, 2027
  • April 16, 2027
  • June 4, 2027

2026 Municipal Election

Internet and telephone voting will be used again in the 2026 Cavan Monaghan Municipal Election.

  • Call to confirm you are on the voter's list: 705-932-9326
  • Voting period opens October 13 at 10:00 a.m. and runs until October 26 at 8:00 p.m.
  • Voter Information Letter with everything you need to vote will be mailed in early October.
