Arts, Culture and Heritage

The Township of Cavan Monaghan is rich with diverse local arts, culture and heritage.  A number of organizations work to encourage and develop initiatives that add to the richness.

Culture in the Township

The Township was the proud recipient of the Creative Communities Partnership Fund program introduced by the Ministry of Culture. Cavan Monaghan is the smallest municipality in the province to have received funding to undertake a cultural resource mapping exercise, which is a founding step towards municipal cultural planning.  Visit the Cultural Mapping Final Report for more information.

There are also many arts, culture & heritage resources throughout the Region. Peterborough and the Kawarthas Tourism has a diverse list of places to visit and things to see.
