Small Spade Farm has been running a CSA in Stirling, Ontario since 2013. Using heirlooms are central to Lauren and Eric???s farming philosophy, and they have specialized in growing heirloom vegetables for their CSA members on their 7-acre certified organic farm. In past years, they have experimented with seed production of heirloom vegetables and in 2014, they joined Seeds of Diversity???s Vegetable Seed Producers Network to trial and grow a number of different biennial crops for seed. Come learn about different methods of storage for biennial crops (both in the field and out) and how to integrate biennial seed production into your market garden operation
